Saturday July 2 2011 How I shop with brio in Port Hawkesbury

Everyone is in party mode. Summer weather and Canada weekend! The boats are out: there were three other boats on this immense lake when I went out. The MB's US Olympic catamaran is now speeding around showing off. I carry on with the building project: clean up wood, stack it, then take off for Port Hawkesbury to do some basic shopping: foundation waterproof coating, a new finishing trowel to replace the one I broke scraping cement off form boards, another beer kit to crank up some more beer particularly for Wayne and Janet, an electric razor to cut my hair and razors to clean my face... The girl in Home Hardware loves my accent and assures me she's Irish on one side even if she is a Landry and she's sorry she can't speak French. Everyone very helpful and they all have lots of time. No crowds here, anywhere.
I also buy the MB red suspenders to keep his pants up when he wears his toolbelt, only as long as he agrees to use them. He does.
Partymode continues as we all assemble at Deborah's table, this time to eat a delicious meal prepared by Janet and BBQed by Wayne... Nothing wrong with this routine and the house creeps up. And Raman and Shan's table is the hit of the season.
