I've been making beer: got 10 gallons brewing and another 5 just bottled, knowing that it makes for very jolly social events. I think it's appropriate that the brewhouse should be Janet and Wayne's cabin because it is important to keep the sailors connected to dry land, distributing beer to everyone. Now if I can only teach everyone to wash out the bottles, but one thing at a time: let's get them to drink from the bottles first.
Jumping ahead for a comment on the garbage pick-up. There by the roadside, spewed out into the ditch is a blue bag, spotted as we drive back in to Oldy Road at midnight on Saturday. The highly perceptive crew have rejected the MB's attempts at recycling. But what is wrong with the blue bag contents? Very perplexing when DC can't even see what they are rejecting. Imagine rejecting recycling: the pick-up men developing a detective's instincts for what's in your garbage. Worse than the News of the World...
So, Thursday we make wood. See the photos of the piles of lumber we stack up. We have about 50 logs left and we'll need it all. The MB almost gets 2 4 by 8 beams from one log! I have become a connoiseur of beam work. We are now waiting for a huge electric planer from Prince George...
