I wonder if the Masterbuilder is thinking of starting a business producing workshop benches. Today he produced his second one, HIS bench I presume, all planed and soft and smooth while the first one we made (MINE I presume) is full of splinters, an obstacle course for someone on Cumadin like me.
He did say that building our chalet would give him the opportunity to make a lot of booboos before he moves on to building his own house. He jokes, I am sure. I hope.
I joke. The garage is now set for highly dramatic activity with a pile of logs. Michael makes a second bench and set of shelves to give us a brilliant working area. Tomorrow he will make the huge doors (6 feet by 10 feet high) which will seal this Aladdin’s cave of wooden delight. And I shall learn some of the mundane secrets of this world of wood.
Rain pours on our productivity. And all I can offer you as the images of this highly productive day is the tranquillity and satisfaction of Deborah’s table, crowned with NS Mayflowers which abound in the forests around.

It all sounds very exciting and I can't wait to see the progress as it is made. Do you expect to have things completed in 10 weeks? or just roof tight?
